In pagan Europe one of a man’s few cherished possessions was
his sword while most everything else;
land, livestock, houses, was owned by the women.
A knight’s sword was the Defender of Light against the forces of darkness;
symbolizing Purification, Spiritual Evolution, the all conquering Spirit,
as well as the Magical Power to fight off Evil.
During the middle ages, the sword was seen as a symbol of death
and psychic strength as well as a symbol of the Spirit and the Word of God.
We have named our amulet “Hrunting” after the Ancient Royal Sword
given to Beowulf for his epic fight with Grendel’s mother.
After the titanic battle, Grendel, the first and elemental evil,
is beheaded and his head is taken by the triumphant Beowulf as a trophy.
Our concept of “Hrunting,” the Royal Sword of Beowulf,
has the skull of the Evil Grendel as the hilt of this magical sword.
By wearing this amulet you can imbue your spirit with the strength of Beowulf
and all the magical properties of the symbol of the sword:
Enlightenment,Spirituality, Strength, and Power.
